14th Jul 2025

Education

YTM, in collaboration with the STEM Foundation Centre of Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), organised the Robocode: Build & Code The Robot for The Special Need Students programme to provide early exposure in robotics and coding to students with special needs. Held at UMT, the session involved 59 students from five primary schools in Terengganu, accompanied by 20 teachers. The training covered an introduction to robotics, component assembly, and basic coding using the mBot robot.

This initiative is part of a nationwide training programme targeting over 200 special needs students across the country by September 2025. Through this effort, YTM remains committed to ensuring that no student is left behind in gaining access to future technologies and knowledge—helping to bridge the digital gap between special needs students and their mainstream peers.
