240 Students Join MAKEROBOT Challenge 2025: YTM & UTHM Empower the Next Generation in Robotics
02nd Dec 2025
More than 240 students from 20 primary schools under the Young Techno Maker Programme — a social impact initiative by YTM in collaboration with Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) — took part in the MAKEROBOT Challenge 2025 to test their programming and robotic control skills.
This national-level competition, involving a total of 40 primary schools from Johor, Pahang, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka, serves as an important platform to nurture highly skilled students in robotics, automation and future technologies. Three categories were contested — Tracer, Battle and Soccer — each challenging participants to programme robots to complete tracks, push objects or score goals through strategy and teamwork.
YTM hopes that participation in the MAKEROBOT Challenge will not only spark students’ interest in STEM but also cultivate innovation, self-confidence and competitiveness among young learners as we shape the nation’s future digital talents. Congratulations to all participating students!
