In conjunction with the Konvensyen Rakan NADMA, themed "Malaysia Madani, Siaga Bencana" recently, five (5) sharing sessions on various topics, including humanitarian efforts and disaster management in Malaysia, were held.
Noorul Syifa Mohd Isa, Head of Community and Nation Building, Yayasan TM (YTM), has been selected to be a panelist for Session 2 entitled, Perspektif 2030 Budaya Daya Tahan di Ambang Cabaran; Pengalaman dan Strategi Unik dari Dunia Kemanusiaan, along with other panel members, Mr Norazam bin Abu Samah from MERCY Malaysia and Mr Lee Peng Sian from the Tzu Chi Foundation.
Noorul Syifa shared the humanitarian aid and disaster preparedness initiatives implemented by Telekom Malaysia (TM) and YTM since 2014 and YTM's involvement as the Joint Secretariat for GLC Demi Rakyat & Negara (GDRN).
YTM focuses on preparedness training at various levels that expose the community to effective disaster management, including students, teachers, volunteers, NGOs, and government agencies. These efforts indirectly show that YTM's commitment is in line with the Government's aspirations to create a resilient community in the future.
