Empowering Students with Life-Saving Skills: 150 SBP Students Certified Through YTM’s SERT Programme
09th Mar 2026
Yayasan TM (YTM) remains committed to empowering students with essential soft skills through the First Aid & CPR Training Programme (SERT), implemented across 16 selected boarding schools (SBP). SM Sains Selangor is the 10th school to have successfully completed this module. To date, 150 students have received SERT certification.
This initiative reflects YTM’s continuous efforts to nurture a resilient generation through four key pillars:
- High-Impact Education: Transforming out-of-classroom learning by equipping students with critical survival skills.
- Preparedness & Risk Mitigation: Developing competent Youth First Responders capable of managing emergency and disaster situations, particularly in the face of global climate uncertainties.
- Holistic Student Development: Translating values of discipline and civic responsibility into real action through practical CPR and AED skills.
- Volunteer-Minded Leadership: Cultivating future leaders who are empathetic, proactive, and service-oriented.
Closing ceremony of this series was graced by Datin Noorul Syifa Mohd Isa, Head of Community & Nation Building, YTM, together with Dato’ Danial Iskandar bin Abdul Rahman, Secretary General of the Malaysian Red Crescent Society (BSMM) and Tuan Haji Fathul Rahman Mohd Amin, BSMM’s 1st Vice Chairman.
Our sincere appreciation goes to the Malaysian Red Crescent Society, the trainers, facilitators and participating schools for their invaluable cooperation and support.
