Resilient Asia 2026: Building a Disaster-Ready Malaysia

30th Jun 2026

Community & Nation Building

YTM was honoured to join the panel at Resilient Asia 2026, an international platform that brought together disaster management experts from across the region. Officially officiated by YAB Dato' Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Haji Hamidi, Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, the prestigious event reinforced Malaysia's position as a global model in disaster management and humanitarian response.

Our forum session explored the critical topic, "From Relief to Resilience: Strengthening Malaysia's Disaster Response Ecosystem," from the perspective of the GLIC/GLC for the People and Nation (GDRN) network and NADMA's Corporate Partners.

The session was moderated by Yayasan Hasanah, serving as the GDRN Joint Secretariat, and featured panellists from Yayasan TM, Yayasan PETRONAS, HALUAN (NADMA NGO Partner), and NADMA. Together, we discussed the importance of shifting from short-term emergency relief towards building long-term community preparedness and resilience.

Disaster preparedness and resilience are a shared responsibility. YTM remains committed to supporting the Government's efforts to strengthen the nation's disaster resilience ecosystem and safeguard the well-being of communities across Malaysia.
