02nd Nov 2026
A group of 40 students from Sekolah Kebangsaan Oran, Perlis, one of TM’s 35 adopted schools, visited Multimedia University (MMU) for an academic visit aimed at introducing them to higher education and digital technology. They were accompanied by 20 teachers and 14 officers from the Perlis State Education Department (JPN Perlis).
The visit was attended by Puan Ainol Shaharina Sahar, Director of Yayasan TM (YTM) and Encik Mohd Asril Idris, Vice President of Group Corporate Strategic Communications, TM. During an engagement session with the students, YTM shared insights into its various educational initiatives and the learning experiences offered by higher education institutions.
Following an introduction to the diverse academic opportunities available at MMU, the students explored the worlds of technology and creativity through visits to the Faculty of AI and Engineering (FAIE) and the Faculty of Cinematic Arts (FCM). From witnessing robotics in action to exploring virtual studios, they experienced firsthand how engineering, technology and creative arts converge to drive future innovation.
The experience sparked curiosity and broadened their perspectives on future study pathways and career opportunities. For some students, it was their first opportunity to experience campus life and explore the fields of technology, engineering and creative arts, bringing them one step closer to discovering their potential and shaping their aspirations for the future.
