02nd Nov 2026

Education

YTM continues to champion inclusive STEM education for students with special educational needs through the ROBOCODE A.I. programme, in collaboration with the Centre for STEM Foundation Studies, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT).

Held at UTM MakerSpace, Skudai, Johor, the programme brought together 12 teachers and 30 students from special education programmes across six schools in Johor to explore the fundamentals of robotics, coding and technology applications through hands-on learning.

Beyond introducing participants to robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI), the programme also nurtured digital skills, creativity and problem-solving abilities through practical robot-building and programming activities. Participating teachers were also given the opportunity to apply their newly acquired knowledge by guiding students throughout the learning activities.

This initiative reflects YTM’s commitment to expanding access to inclusive STEM education, providing students with special educational needs greater opportunities to explore technology and unlock their potential.

The programme will continue in several other states throughout the year, extending its benefits to more teachers and students.
