Ainul Syazwina Represents Malaysia in JENESYS ASEAN-Japan Conference

Congratulations Ainul Syazwina, our Future Leaders scholar for being chosen to represent Malaysia in Japan East Asia Network of Exchange for Students & Youth (JENESYS), ASEAN-Japan Students Conference 2023 sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

This programme had gathered the youth from ASEAN countries, Timor Leste and Japan through strategic cooperation to strengthen the countries relation and learning opportunities. Ainul and fellow delegates had been assigned to different thematic issues such as climate change and disaster prevention, internet and AI, tourism and population issues. It also extends to inculcate the cultural exchange of Japanese traditions through homestay programmes and observations in various places such as Hiroshima, Miyagi, Kanagawa, Mie and Okinawa.

The stay in Tokyo had been marked up with a fruitful sharing session with Dato' Seri Dr Wan Azizah and the pleasure to attend YAB Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia during the Tokyo Tower Light-Up ceremony held to commemorate the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation.

Ainul who is a Law student at International Islamic University pursue this learning opportunity as an unforgettable experience. Alongside with the delegates, she hopes to contribute back to the society through the experiences learnt. Recently, Ainul has also been selected to the International Youth Exchange selection camp of 2024 under the Ministry of Youth & Sports of Malaysia.
