GLC / GLIC Demi Rakyat & Negara (GDRN): Strengthening Partnerships and Advancing Disaster Preparedness
02nd Nov 2026
Through GLC / GLIC Demi Rakyat & Negara (GDRN), YTM continues to support efforts to strengthen a more coordinated and resilient disaster management ecosystem through its participation in the 2026 NADMA Strategic Retreat for Partners, held recently in Kuala Lumpur.
The programme brought together NADMA partners from the corporate, NGO and academic sectors to assess progress, identify gaps and shape the next direction for the nation's disaster management and resilience ecosystem.
GDRN's participation as part of the Corporate Partners reflects the growing recognition of the corporate sector's role in strengthening national disaster resilience, not only through funding, but also through networks, technology, expertise, strategic partnerships and more coordinated action.
Key discussions included reviewing the 2024 NADMA Partners Rejuvenation Plan and laying the groundwork for the development of the NADMA Partners Roadmap 2026–2030.
YTM, in its capacity as GDRN Secretariat, was also appointed as a facilitator for the discussion sessions, helping to bridge perspectives across stakeholders, particularly in areas of funding, coordination, capacity building and impact measurement.
