YTM together with Women of Will Malaysia (WoW), visited Keningau, Sabah, to monitor the progress of 40 women participants in the Growing Rural Opportunities for Women (GROW) programme from Kampung Nandangan and Kampung Kiulu Baru/Pauh. The initiative aims to empower rural women through skills development, entrepreneurship and income-generating opportunities.

During the progress visit, YTM had the opportunity to observe the participants’ business developments, including agriculture (hydroponics, ginger and pucuk manis), fish farming, handicrafts and food businesses. In addition, 20 local youths participated in skills development and digital marketing training to help expand the market reach of community products.

Unifi Business TM Sabah also took part by introducing digital solutions to support the growth of microbusinesses and expand market opportunities for local entrepreneurs.

To further support business expansion, a total of RM20,000 in financial assistance was channelled to the 40 women entrepreneurs.

Through GROW, YTM remains committed to expanding economic opportunities, increasing household incomes and building more empowered and resilient rural communities.
