24th Apr 2025

Community & Nation Building

Yayasan TM demonstrates its continued commitment to assisting flood victims in Johor through collaboration with its NGO partners. This initiative includes various forms of aid, such as:

Distribution of Hygiene Kits: 800 personal hygiene kits were provided in Kulai and Johor Bahru in collaboration with BeVital.

Basic Necessities and Religious Aid: 90 families in Ulu Tiram and Kluang received the relief items through the National Disaster Management Association (NADIM) and UTM Prihatin volunteers. House cleaning activities were also carried out.

Comfort Packs: 65 families in Johor Bahru received comfort packs with the support of Pertubuhan Ihsan Johor, including the provision of roll-on roll-off (roro) bins for cleaning purposes.

At the same time, YTM contributed 300 family aid packs, part of 3,850 packs worth over RM1.1 million of GLC/GLIC Demi Rakyat & Negara (GDRN) members’ collective contributions, with support from the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) for distribution across all affected districts in Johor.

Overall, YTM has channeled over RM200,000 in aid to 1,255 families. It is hoped that this assistance will help ease the burden of flood victims, especially in the lead-up to Aidilfitri.
