Recenty, Sabah Creative Economy & Innovation Centre (SCENIC) in collaboration with Yayasan TM and Sabah Ministry of Science, Technology & Innovation (KSTI) has successfully conducted “Projek Pemerkasaan & Pembangunan Kapten Komuniti”, one of the YTM Social Impact Grant initiatives in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

A total of 15 participants from 7 social enterprises throughout Sabah were involved in this 2-day programme, exposed to knowledge sharing and capacity building sessions from industry experts from Sabah Techpreneur Association (SATA), Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Society Empowerment and Economic Development of Sabah (SEED), and Sabah Social Entrepreneurs Association (SOSEA) as well as visits to several local social enterprises. During the visit session, the participants were exposed to the existing social enterprise ecosystem and received guidance as well as advice from those with more experienced.

YTM wishes success to all those involved in this programme and hopes that it will encourage more youth to actively participate in social enterprises, thus directly affecting their communities' socio-economic status.
