Syafiq Faizal is our Future Leaders scholar, pursuing his Bachelor of Information Technology at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

Always looking for something remarkable, Syafiq joined The Good Society, a contemporary youth movement focusing on community organising and sustainability. He helped lay the foundation for a capacity building program for student empowerment and activism.

One of the crowning achievements in Syafiq's journey was when he clinched the first runner-up position in the ASEAN Data Science Explorers 2023 national level. His project garnered national acclaim where he crafted a storyboard proposal in addressing the employment gap in the region. In the EY Young Technology Professional Challenge (EY YTPC 2022), Syafiq was the first runner-up for innovative residential waste management solution built with SAP technology.

Syafiq's dedication in data and technology extended to his final year project as well. He was involved in the development of PROTIME, a student productivity application that turns innovative ideas into practical solutions. PROTIME obtained first place in top 3 best projects for System Development category during the Final Year Project Showcase 2022.

In addition to his accomplishments, Syafiq successfully graduated with first-class honours recently. Congratulations Syafiq! Continue to stand tall, inspiring and exemplifying others to greater heights!
