Hari Muzium Antarabangsa is celebrated on May 18 every year based on the resolution of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) since 1977. It aims to raise awareness about the importance of museums to the community and how this aspect affects social values, identity and also learning through history around the world.

We at Yayasan TM through the Art, Culture & Heritage unit continue to support museumization initiatives where we also preserve the heritage of telecommunications history through two museums namely the Telekom Museum, KL and the Telegraph Museum, Taiping.

In conjunction with Hari Muzium Antarabangsa 2024 Penang, YTM has participated in celebrating this day together with the Malaysian Museum Department and the Penang State Museum Board holding an exhibition themed Museum for Education & Research.
