For the very first time, Yayasan TM (YTM) collaborated with the Bahagian Pengurusan Sekolah Berasrama Penuh (BPSBP), Kementerian Pendidikan Malaysia (KPM), to organise an English spelling competition specially designed for SBP students — YTM Spellmaster Challenge 2025. The school-level competition qualified selected students to advance to the zonal rounds held in the central, eastern, northern, southern, and Sabah & Sarawak zones.

The grand finale, held at Multimedia University, brought together 47 finalists from 37 SBPs nationwide, where two students from SMS Tuanku Munawir and The Malay College Kuala Kangsar emerged as champions in the lower secondary and upper secondary categories respectively.

This initiative not only uncovers English language talents but also strengthens YTM’s mission to empower the younger generation with communication skills and global competitiveness, while paving the way for greater collaboration with KPM in the future.
