Shahnaz Al-Sadat Tan Sri Sheikh Abdul Mohsein
Shahnaz, aged 56, a Malaysian, Chairperson, LeapEd Services. She holds a LL.B (Hons) from University of Nottingham, United Kingdom and MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) Lausanne, Switzerland. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).
Shahnaz brings with her over three decades of experience in audit, consultancy, corporate and government-linked companies. In the last decade, she has been pursuing her passion in social enterprising particularly in the education sector. Her previous corporate and GLC experience include senior leadership positions in Malaysia Airlines in 2001, Director, Chief Financial Officer of Khazanah Nasional Berhad in 2004 and Executive Director, Strategic Human Capital Management of Khazanah Nasional Berhad in 2008.
As a social enterpreneur, she co-founded arise Asia in 2012 and assumed the Managing Director LeapEd Services in 2016.
She belief in the power of education as both the driver of growth and significant lever to close inequity. This is evident through her active participation on various boards of education and learning related entities such as Teach for Malaysia and Kolej Yayasan UEM.
Datin Mohana Mohariff
Datin Mohana Mohariff, aged 57, a Malaysian holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering/Computer Science) from Monash University, Melbourne and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ohio University.
She is a former Top Management at TM. She left TM in Dec 2021, leaving a strong contribution of more than 30 years, in Sales, Leadership & Talent Management and Customer Service Management. Her last role was the Vice President leading Customer Experience Governance, Compliance & Stakeholder Management.
Datin Mohana Mohariff was known as a passionate leader, always full of energy and innovate ideas to make sure customer experience is always the priority and to outperform competitors. To her, customer is always defined as both internal and external customers.
With her hands-on expertise and thought leadership, she was appointed the Chairman of Communication and Multimedia Consumer Forum of Malaysia (CFM) for the 2019-2021 session. (CFM was initiated by MCMC as the Communications and Multimedia Consumer Forum to protect the rights of consumers of the sector).
In Jan 2022, she has been assigned as the Ahli Jawatankuasa ICT & Pendigitalan by Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Perlis (MAIPs) to share her extensive experience and ideas until Dec 2023.
Dato’ Rafa’ai Samsi
Dato’ Rafa'ai, aged 67, a Malaysian, holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from Brighton University, United Kingdom and Masters in Communications Management from the University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom.
He started his career in telecommunications industry with Jabatan Telekom Malaysia (JTM) in 1978.
Throughout his 40 years career with JTM and TM, he was assigned to various interesting and challenging tasks within technical function and business function including telecommunication network planning & design, establish an 'Open Access' network architecture for other service providers, high speed broadband service planning and development, IT system integration, human resource planning & operation, CEO Meganet Communication Sdn Bhd (a TM-NTT joint venture company), sales & business operation at state level, Wholesale Market development, Domestic Carrier Business Division and many more.
He was appointed as Vice President, Marketing and Sales for the Wholesale segment in October 2006 and subsequently promoted to Executive Vice President to lead the Wholesale Line of Business in July 2008. In 2013, Dato’ Rafa'ai was assigned as Deputy CTIO to run the day-to-day operations and transformation initiatives of the IT and Network Technology Division while concurrently spearheading Customer Experience Management and Transformation Group to create an enterprise-wide impact on customer experience transformation initiative.
Dato’ Rafa'ai retired in 2018 as Chief Technology & Innovation Officer (CTIO) of TM and currently focuses on part-time consultancy on telecommunication business.
Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Samsinar Md Sidin
Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Samsinar, aged 62, a Malaysian, Vice Chancellor at Universiti Tun Abdul Razak.
She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Western Michigan University, Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Arkansas, USA and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Business Administration from University of Arkansas, USA.
Prof. Datin Paduka Dr. Samsinar graduated with honours (Cum Laude) and the recipient of the Wall Street Journal Award for Best Student in Economics. She also graduated in the top five and was nominated to represent University of Arkansas for the George Hay Brown Award for excellence in Marketing at graduate level in her MBA program.
She has an extensive teaching experience in Marketing, Management and Economics at undergraduate and graduate levels. With her leadership, she holds several positions in education field as Deputy Dean (Academics and Student Affairs) Faculty of Economics and Management in 2004, Director of Corporate Planning Division UPM in 2007, Dean Graduate School of Management (GSM), UPM in 2008, Associated with the Malaysian Association of Consumer and Family Economics (MACFEA), Associated with the Institute of Marketing Management (IMM) and Executive Council member for Asian Academy of Management.
She also completed more than twenty five (25) research projects to date and is currently leading several research projects.
Amar Huzaimi Md Deris

Amar, aged 49, a Malaysian, was appointed as TM’s MD/GCEO and Non-Independent Executive Director on 1 August 2023.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from Monash University (Clayton), Australia and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Deakin University, Australia, both on TM scholarships. Amar is a recognised Fellow Certified Practicing Accountant Australia (FCPA Australia) and a former Certified Information System Auditor (CISA). He completed various leadership programmes, including Proteus at London Business School (LBS); the Global CEO Program at The Wharton School, National University of Singapore in 2022 and IESE Business School in 2023.
Amar brings with him over two decades of experience in the telecommunication industry. Prior to his appointment as MD/GCEO, he served as the Executive Vice President (EVP) of TM Global, overseeing the Group’s wholesale domestic and international business arm since 1 September 2018. During his tenure, Amar led TM Global in strategic ventures across diverse sectors, including sales, marketing, customer experience, and relationship management, leveraging his entrepreneurial and financial acumen.
Amar, a home-grown talent, started his career in 1998 as part of TM’s Group Financial Controller Division. Over the years, he has ascended through the ranks, holding the positions of Deputy Chief Internal Auditor, General Manager of Group Corporate and Regulatory, General Manager of Group CEO’s Office and Vice President of Carrier Sales in TM Global. With a solid grasp of global leading technologies and a combination of strategic vision and operational experience, Amar is well-positioned to steer TM's evolution from a Telco to a TechCo.
Amar’s leadership and vision have earned him recognition in his field. He was selected as one of CPA Australia's 40 young business leaders, a list that showcases highly talented individuals across regions and sectors. Additionally, he was included in Capacity Media's Power 100 in 2019 and 2023, a global index comprising influential leaders in the wholesale telecommunication sector.
Amar also sits on the Boards of several subsidiaries of TM Group under TM Global cluster, including Fiberail Sdn. Bhd., Fibrecomm Network (M) Sdn Bhd, Acasia Communication Sdn Bhd and Asean Telecom Holding Sdn Bhd, a business alliance with seven (7) ASEAN countries. He is also the Chairman of TM’s regional offices located in the UK, US, Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia and Dubai.
Dato’ Zainal Abidin Putih

Dato’ Zainal Abidin Putih, aged 78, a Malaysian, was appointed as Non-Independent Non-Executive Chairman of TM on 1 August 2023.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), as well as a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).
Dato’ Zainal Abidin was formerly the Country Managing Partner of Messrs Hanafiah Raslan and Mohamad and was an Adviser with Messrs Ernst & Young Malaysia until his retirement in 2005. He brings with him decades of extensive experience in audit, having worked as a practising accountant throughout his career covering many principal industries including banks, insurance, energy, transport, manufacturing, government agencies, plantations, properties, hotels, investment companies and unit trusts. He also has good knowledge of taxation matters and management consultancy, especially in the areas of acquisition, takeovers, amalgamations, restructuring and public listing of companies.
He is currently a Board member of Khazanah Nasional Berhad and the Chairman of several companies including Land & General Berhad, Tokio Marine Insurans (Malaysia) Berhad and Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd. He also sits on the boards of several private limited companies.
Dato’ Zainal Abidin also serves as the current Chairman of Financial Reporting Foundation, and a Trustee of IJN Foundation and Yayasan Universiti Multimedia. He was the past President of MICPA and former Chairman of the Malaysian Accounting Standards Board, CIMB Bank Berhad, Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad and Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Berhad, as well as a former member of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Investment Panel of Employees Provident Fund. He also served as a director of Petron Malaysia Refining & Marketing Berhad.
